From 1 May to 1 October, you can visit Zeeland’s largest herb garden at the Kruytenburg countryside campsite inPoortvliet. Around 500 native and exotic herbs as well as medicinal herbs provide an impressive range. There are also some 50 different kinds of forgotten vegetables such as tree spinach and icecrop. To complete the garden, there are also some 50 exotic plants, such as African lilies, an almond tree and a persimmon tree. It is nice to make a stop at Eeterij Kruytenburg for coffee and cake or a lunch.
