The ship, the BRU-45, is a fishing cutter which is still used for oyster, eel and lobster fishing.

If you reserve a place for your bike, you can take it for free. In ten minutes you are on the other side of the water and can explore the island Schouwen-Duiveland and cycle along the Grevelingenmeer. But don’t forget to check out the jetties at Bruinisse. This is where the eels are smoked and the traps repaired. The sailing period is from 1 July to 27 August. On Fridays and Saturdays the cutter departs from Anna Jacobapolder (Rijksweg 5) at 10:30 hrs every hour. The last departs at 17:30. From Bruinisse, the first departure is at 10:00 am and the last one at 5:00 pm.

Return ticket for adults is €7,50. Reservation is a must.
