Wulpdal family park

On the banks of Oosterschelde National Park and a stone’s throw from the picturesque village of Sint-Maartensdijk lies the luxurious family park Wulpdal. A place where peace, space and privacy reign supreme. The entire park is surrounded by wide views, unspoilt nature and beautiful cycling and walking paths. The beach is just a stone’s throw away. Nearby, there is also a slipway where you can launch your boat with trailer. Although the holiday homes are fully equipped, the lure of nature amply drowns out WIFI and television. The animation team here is represented by seals, porpoises, starfish, crabs as well as bottlenose dolphins and seahorses. But don’t forget the seagulls, egrets, oystercatchers, red-tailed godwits and, of course, curlews. And did you know that “Gogge” is a Zeeland dialect word for “great black-backed gull”? Children have all the space they need to romp around and there will also be a wonderful playground on the site. Children’s favourites: catching crabs and looking for shells. But of course, the beach in Scherpenisse Bay is also a great place for a summer swim. And very importantly, the low dam also gives parents a bit of peace and quiet as children cannot drift away into the Oosterschelde here. Well done by the municipality of Tholen!

This modern, detached holiday home features many comforts. Above all, it is built almost energy-neutral, which is a nice feeling for many people. On holiday, we may think even more about being careful with our planet. You will find a heat pump and underfloor heating in the house and solar panels on the roof. We have also worked with A-quality built-in appliances that meet the latest energy-saving requirements.

The layout of your holiday villa

The accommodation has a nice garden and modern furnishings. The bedroom on the ground floor has an en suite bathroom and the living room is furnished with a TV, a dining table and a comfortable seating area. On the second floor there are two more bedrooms, a bathroom and extra toilet. Moreover, parking for two cars is available at the holiday home. Enjoy your free time on the terrace under the veranda and prepare your favourite meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Enjoy lounging with a beautiful view! The house is ideal for holidays with family and friends. Extra: sauna, washing machine and veranda.

Oosterschelde National Park

The Oosterschelde National Park is openly connected to the North Sea via the storm surge barrier. Twice a day, 800 billion litres of salt water flow in and out of the area. The mudflats and sandflats that are under water at high tide fall dry again at low tide. The Oosterschelde is a unique area because of this tidal nature. Next to the pier at De Zeester lighthouse are tide boxes. When it is low tide, you can take a look there to see what the tide has left behind. Birds also do this on the sandbanks and scavenge for their meal. So the Eastern Scheldt is a home, a nursery and a roadhouse all in one. In addition, the Eastern Scheldt has a fascinating underwater world. Think, for instance, of Deadman’s Thumb, the only Dutch coral. On the other side of the dike, next to the Wulpdal, is a diving hotspot. A diving school and compressed air facilities make every diver feel welcome here.

What can you do on Tholen Island and where can you eat?

Winding polder roads take you to the most surprising places. On Exclusief Zeeland you can choose per island what there is to experience. Think of the seal safari from Sint Annaland or the foot and bicycle ferry crossing to Yerseke, but the Roosevelt Museum and restaurant are also worth a visit, a place with a special history! Tholen is an up-and-coming island and perhaps the least known, but it is catching up fast. It may soon be the hippest island in Zeeland! Its ideal location makes it a great island to explore Zeeland. For example, rent a boat on Lake Grevelingen. Also recommended is the city walk in Zierikzee and if possible, drive directly to the Plompe Toren (tip: pit stop at De Heerenkeet). There are also many fine dining establishments on the island; we have listed the best for you on Exclusief Zeeland.nl. But above all, Restaurant De Zeester is highly recommended. A modern restaurant with a beautiful panoramic terrace and, not unimportantly, only a short walk from your holiday home.
