The Friesian Skutsje has a Zeeland brother: the Hoogaars! Historic flatboats typical of the Zeeland Delta are preserved by Stichting Behoud Hoogaars. Through a collaboration with Museum Veere, you can go back in time by water from June to September. A great experience and with a bit of luck, Mother Nature will help to get the sails full so that the ship can brave the Veerse Meer in full sail. With the wind in your hair, you can admire the picturesque silhouette of Veere and no doubt hear things you didn’t already know from the knowledgeable skipper. The cruise lasts an hour and a half and after the trip you can visit the museum for free.
